Nathan Trotter—a 236-year-old family-owned company and North America’s leading supplier of tin products—has announced a major investment in Martinsville-Henry County, Virginia. The company will build the nation’s first large-scale tin processing facility, a $65 million project that will create 118 new jobs. This will be their first facility outside of their home state of Pennsylvania.

Press Glass Inc., the largest independent glass fabricator in Europe, embarked on a significant expansion to their facility in 2023 with a $155.2 million investment supporting the construction of a 360,000-square-foot addition, effectively doubling their footprint in the Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre. The expansion strengthened their U.S. presence and increased production of glass for the commercial construction industry.

The company was the first tenant of Commonwealth Crossing in 2019. 

Crown Holdings

Crown Holdings, Inc., an industry leader in metal packaging technology, invested $145 million to establish a manufacturing operation in Henry County, Virginia. The company built a 355,000-square-foot aluminum beverage can production facility in the Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre in 2022.
