Henry County, VA (May 21, 2026) – The Henry County Board of Supervisors and the Industrial Development Authority today announced the sale of property at Patriot Centre II to Appalachian Power Company. The company has no specific development plans to announce at this time.
County leaders noted their continued focus on responsible land use and to maximize long-term economic benefits for the community. This transaction reflects continued strong interest in Patriot Centre as a strategic location for business investment and underscores Henry County’s long-term economic development goals for the site and the surrounding areas.
“Appalachian Power is a well-established and valued partner in our community,” said Jim Adams, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. “We appreciate their continued investment in Henry County and their role in supporting the infrastructure necessary for future economic opportunity.”
