Henry County is moving forward with the next phase of development at the Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre (CCBC). The Board of Supervisors has approved a contract with the Timmons Group to create engineering and design plans that will prepare Tract 3 for industrial development.
The engineering plans will outline how the land will be shaped, where roads, utilities, and other infrastructure will go, and ensure all environmental requirements are met so Lot 3 is ready for a new industrial business. This decision follows the county’s recent award of $750,000 through the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program in August 2025, and will use additional county funds to help cover the $995,000 engineering contract.
“We’re not just designing sites — we’re designing our future,” said County Administrator Dale Wagoner, as reported by BTW 21. “Each investment in engineering and site design strengthens Henry County’s role within the region’s innovation corridor and ensures we’re ready to lead in the next generation of advanced manufacturing.”
Tract 3 is just the latest development in the park, following the grading work already underway on Tract 2, which is expected to be ready for industrial use by the first quarter of 2026.
