Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Blue Ridge Aquaculture will invest $3.2 million to expand their aquaculture operation in Henry County and create five new jobs. Founded in 1993, Blue Ridge Aquaculture is the largest producer of aquaculture-raised tilapia in the world using an environmentally sensitive, indoor recirculating system; producing 4 million pounds of tilapia a year and shipping between 10,000 and 20,000 pounds of live tilapia each day.

Novatech Group, a leading Quebec manufacturer of doorglass, steel doors, patio doors, retractable screens, and insulated glass with or without blinds, will invest $3 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Henry County, creating 50 new jobs.
Solid Stone Fabrics, a textile manufacturer and distributor of stretch fabrics, will invest $1.5 million to expand its operation in Henry County. The expansion will accommodate new equipment and include building improvements to the existing facility. Virginia successfully competed against California, Florida and New Jersey for the project, which will create 22 new jobs.
