The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation's Small Business Division has a marketing co-op grant designed to assist small businesses with marketing needs.

For-profit, local small businesses (20 or fewer employees, including affiliate companies) which contribute to the local tax base (Martinsville or Henry County) are encouraged to apply. Awardees must use approved local marketing providers. Awards may be up to $1,000 per business; however, no award shall exceed 50% of the total marketing project.

The 50-50 matching grant can be used for a variety of approved marketing needs such as web design/development, graphic design, printing of marketing materials, print ads, signage, TV commercials, radio ads, photography, professional memberships and more.Funds may not be used for marketing consulting fees or domain registration or hosting.

Tracy Cox found the right niche product resulting in a mobile ice cream setup expanding to a newly constructed building. She used the EDC's Marketing Co-op Grant  to help pay for signage for her new location.
