Martinsville, VA (April 18, 2006) – The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is pleased to announce that it has hired Crystal France as Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

Adding Crystal to our staff will enable the EDC to more effectively accomplish this important goal.”

Prior to Piedmont Arts, France was employed by the New York Times Company where she negotiated national procurement contracts and was responsible for portions of the Company’s website.

“I am thrilled to join the exceptional staff of the EDC,” France said. “It’s an exciting time for our area and I look forward to continued involvement in the community with this organization.”
France’s position with the EDC begins May 1, 2006.
