Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation Wins National Award


Martinsville, VA (January 15, 2008) – Expansion Solutions Magazine has awarded the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation with a 2007 Award of Excellence in Food Processing. This is one of only five awards given to localities nationwide and is given to those “who have made exceptional progress in economic development by successfully recruiting and retaining businesses” as the magazine describes.


The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation is pleased to have received this award and is continuing to pursue the food processing industry. “We possess the right ingredients for food processing and this award helps us target that market with more authority,” said Mark Heath, President/CEO of the EDC.
