Accretive Commerce Expands in Martinsville

Nov 1, 2007
By Business Facilities magazine STAFF. Accretive Commerce, an e-commerce and customer care company, announced in April that it will expand in Henry County, creating around 50 new full-time and seasonal jobs. The expansion is a result of a contract extension Accretive Commerce has signed with Godiva Chocolatier, which continues their relationship through 2012.

Accretive Commerce has served Godiva since 1998, providing customer care, fulfillment, and professional services. The expansion will add a new temperature-controlled facility to Accretive’s North Bowles Industrial Park location in Henry County. The facility enables Accretive to store more chocolate for shipment.

The company has been approved for on-the-job training benefits from the local workforce incestment board, and for Henry County Enterprise Zone incentives, which provide tax grants based on the company’s contribution to the area’s tax base.

“Henry County has been a great location for Accretive Commerce,” says Mike Bomba, senior vice president and general manager in Accretive’s fulfillment and logistics department. “With a ready, capable workforce and great government support… our decision to expand our distribution center to meet Godiva’s growing needs [was] an easy one to make.”

Accretive Commerce’s Henry County employees handle phone calls, emails, Internet inquiries, and other direct-to-customer lines of communication from a broad range of industries. The company has been located in Henry County since 1999, where it has 850 employees.
