The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation's Small, Minority & Entrepreneurial Division offers the following services:
- Hands-on assistance with business plans
- Identifying appropriate funding sources
- Preparation for financing applications
- Project management
- Entrepreneurial training
- Referrals to other resources
- Procurement assistance - local, state (SWaM certification) and federal (HUBZone, DBE, or 8(a) certifications)
The Division can coordinate:
- State and local incentives for existing or new businesses
- Licensing and permitting
- Historical tax credits
- Financing
- Export assistance
- Research and development assistance
- Workforce training assistance and funding
Program services are designed to meet the needs of businesses with less than 250 employees.
