State Certification Information for SWAM Procurement Initiative

This program is the Commonwealth of Virginia's initiative designed to enhance purchasing and procurement opportunities for certified Small (SBE), Women- (WBE), and Minority-owned (MBE) businesses. To participate in the SWaM program, DMBE certification is required. Agency's have a 40% spending goal with SWaM certified small businesses.

Federal Procurement Certification Program

The HUBZone Empowerment Contracting program provides federal contracting opportunities for qualified small businesses located in distressed areas. Fostering the growth of these federal contractors as viable businesses, for the long term, helps to empower communities, create jobs, and attract private investment.
